Mountain Stitch Retreat 2026

The Mountain Stitch Retreat 2026, set in the breathtaking mountains of Fernie, British Columbia, offers a rare opportunity for needlework enthusiasts to immerse themselves in a weekend dedicated entirely to stitching, creativity, and community. This retreat welcomes all skill levels — from brand-new beginners to seasoned makers — and provides a supportive, inspiring environment to deepen technique, learn new skills, and enjoy uninterrupted crafting time.

Participants will enjoy a beautifully planned weekend April 17-19th that blends comfort, nature, and the joy of making. Our group will be staying in a stunning private mountain lodge just 10 minutes outside Fernie, featuring:

  • A wood-fired sauna
  • A large outdoor hot tub
  • Spacious indoor communal crafting areas
  • A fully equipped chef-style kitchen
  • Cozy fireplaces and lounge spaces

Catered local breakfasts and dinners will be provided throughout the retreat, offering a taste of Fernie’s vibrant food scene.

 

Workshops & Retreat Experience

Our weekend will feature a mix of workshops, yarn jams and community crafting sessions, with full programming details coming soon. The retreat will include a balance of guided creative time, relaxed stitching opportunities and moments to connect, unwind and enjoy the beautiful mountain setting.

A detailed itinerary will be released in 2026 and emailed to participants.

1. Local Day Package

Perfect for Fernie and area residents who want to participate in the full retreat experience without the overnight stay.

2. Overnight Stay Package

Ideal for those wanting the full, immersive retreat getaway.

Includes everything in the Local Package PLUS:

  • Two nights of accommodations at the private mountain lodge
  • Access to the outdoor hot tub, wood-fired sauna, and lodge amenities
  • 24/7 access to all communal crafting spaces
  • Evening stitching sessions by the fire
