About Us
How I started Stitching and never stopped!
I studied Costume Cutting and Design with Olds College, where I learned the foundations of tailoring, garment construction, and bringing ideas to life through fabric. After moving to Fernie, BC four years ago, I picked up a crochet hook in 2023—and haven’t put it down since.
By the spring of 2024, I started teaching needlework workshops, and I’ve never stopped. Sharing these skills has become one of my greatest joys—helping others discover the creativity, mindfulness, and sustainability that comes with making something by hand.
Stitched by Marissa has grown into a space for connection and creativity, where every stitch tells a story.
